What is rope flow?

For people who want to get moving in a fun way, for several years there has been a new, fascinating sport: ropeflow.

Ropeflow is still an unknown sport in the Netherlands, but outside our borders its popularity has already grown tremendously. With rope flow you use a rope to make fluid movements and create patterns and shapes. It is not about jumping rope, but more about swinging the rope. Ropeflow is a form of cardio and it is very versatile. Thus, it is a good sport to do to become more mobile, rehabilitate, train motor skills and get your left and right hemispheres connected.

Connecting physically and mentally

I myself was introduced to the sport a year and a half ago, and because of its playful element, I am still excited about it. To share ropeflow with others, I organize workshops and created online ropeflow courses. I have a passion for people AND exercise. When you exercise and are physically healthy, things improve mentally as well. Besides, it’s fun to learn something new, it grows your self-confidence.

Get out of your head

If you’re still unsure if ropeflow is for you, realize this: You can decide how intensely you want to work with the rope, and for what purpose. Because of the elements of boxing, tennis and golf movements you make, ropeflow is suitable for a full-body workout. But you can also flow quietly, which is calming. Get out of your head, and into your body!
